Re: Notebooks Bill & Mani, I think notebooks will be the most critical segment in the future. They are finally getting to a point where they are fast enough all around. Notebooks need far more than a fast processor because you have to pack it all in such a small package (my 4 MB video card really sucks). At my work, we all have notebooks as our primary computers. In our offices, we have keyboards, 21 inch monitors, speakers, and mouse. In the office, you just plug in your notebook. This is really nice because when we're on the road or at home, we have everything we need in our notebooks. The power is finally getting to a point where this kind of setup can work, and makes sense. The new thinkpads have a 700 Mhz, 512 RAM, 30 gig harddrive, 16 MB video card, and 15 inch screen. (the price tag sucks though) It's nice that we'll have a high powered mobile chip coming out of dresdan. I hope it makes it into the business sector. chic
