AMD In Australia
Reported by: Jeff Tom At: 12:37 AM Source: e-mail
I got this bit from the care of an e-mail.
Hi,
Just thought you might like to know that the Gateway Select series has
been available in Aus for months and that within weeks of announcement,
the 1Gig Unit was availble within 2weeks of being Ordered.

All speeds of athlon are also available from system builders OEM/Retail,
the 1Ghz unit is about A$2,500 with the 500Mhz unit selling for about A$340
and the best buy is a 750Mhz for about A$600. The Asus K7V board is about
A$285

Btw, the fastest pentium III available in Aus from anywhere is the 800e or
eb for about $1350 (Athlon800 is about A$790) .

PS the Aussie Dollar is only worth about US$0.61
