Wow-I'm still working on "cultural contextual differences among adults". Impressive! Does that mean Skipper and I see things differently? So what are the choices for parents? Are you going to leave your children alone to figure it our for themselves? I don't think so! Sex is dicey no matter what input kids get from adults. The only input I had was "Nice girls don't" and "Say no". My family never discussed the issues, the possibilities, the what-ifs. They never acknowledged that girls have desires, too, but focused on the bad boys who would try to have their way with me. If we have established a trusting relationship with our sons and they respect us, they'll hopefully give some consideration to our thoughts on and experience with the subject. That's about all that can be done at this point. So what are you going to teach? And don't you have a girl fast approaching the scary years?? WOuldn't it be nice if it were all pure and natural like- what was that movie-Blue Lagoon? Well, as Skipper said, C'est la vie.
