If by statement someone dumped 500,000 shares than some one also bought 500,000 shares on quick notice. Problem to this is that
1) nobody can tell how many shares were day traded
2) inventory levels (or short positions) of market makers are not known
3) short sales (on going dilution)
4) forced margin sales created by low prices
