Tench-- "Hundreds of thousands" is the estimate of this year's volume alone. First off, I thought I said over the next six to nine months, but I guess that was in my other post. But you believe Albert's statements about the 100s of ks in 2000? When I heard that statement at the IDF webcast, I had a paroxysm of glee. I think it was by a factor of a thousand the most important thing said (as far as AMD stock is concerned) at the IDF. I've tried to think of some reason for the gorilla to want to underpromise, but still haven't been able to come up with one. I guess Intel is serious about no P IV in volume 'till 2001, especially in light of Otellini's statements about getting one or two more speed grades out of Coppermine. <g> Anyway, how can anyone think Intel has a prayer in Hell chance of not losing at least a couple percent of market share this year? -Eric
