Zeev,
IMHO you are out to lunch here. Where are your facts and some references we can examine?
1. Can you please sight a few sucessful small in-production mining companies that cracked a complex mineralization and show us how quiet, reserved and non-promotional they were.
2. Can you name some of these companies who did not have delays?
3. Can you show me any flyers, mailers or advertisements in trade journals from IPM?
IPM has promoted the company, only to the minimum needed, to raise the capital to execute thier _plan_... Once a year now they have had a "show n tell" day for newsletter writers, fund managers etc, what is wrong with that? Part of thier _duty_ to shareholders is to secure the financing we need. Maxam's AGM gave out hats, polo shirts, packets of smelted Maxam gold, and a tour the next day -- too promotional?
I think you are having a _hard_ time distinguishing between internet hype (both positive and negative); Shareholder activism (yes, every stock does not have a CL; But promotional ones have paid "promoters" which CL is _not_, he _is_ a heavily vested shareholder)
Le Furlong's Presidents message, is that over-promotion? I have no idea, but will bet you anything that was done out of fondness for the small shareholders and it does _not_ move a market cap the way IPM's has moved. People like James Turk or Capital Group move IPMs market cap, and if they ever get anxious or impatient they can probably get anyone they want on the phone and don't need to read the internet.
I use the term over-promotion because that is what you imply, and we all know Jr.'s _must_ promote themselves to some degree or they would all run out of financing. So please tell us, what % has management concentrated more on promotion than mining? Do you think IPMs promotion has taken up 50% of Messr's Furlong, Mentzer, Dodge's time? I will bet you less than 2%.
Finally, this carp at IPM about "the plan"... That's what they have been doing, only it is a somewhat fluid plan -- which is obviously the only way it can be in this type of research. Can it not be sound procedure to have research going on on dual tracks? To then review, change and adjust future plans according to results. Are there not force majure events? Could the company have predicted Bre-x? Would you prefer they _ignored_ the significance of it?
Finally, can you please sight for us a _few_ model Jr. Golds who are not "promotional" by your defination and good at sticking to "the plan" ... So we can make a valid _comparison_.
