Major move by MWBX to enter Boston with business loan center and automated banking facility. See news.

Suburban community banks with large deposits and no ready borrowers, are moving into business loans from their traditional local land development loans. Deposit increases are mainly taken from the discarded branch offices of major national banks due to their mergers. Convenience banking and no fee banking helped local banks to flourish.

Now local community banks are moving into major cities to compete with national banks. Higher interest rates will help these aggressive banks.
