C-Cube Announces Howard Bailey as New CFO
MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 2000--C-Cube Microsystems (Nasdaq:CUBED), announced today that Howard Bailey has joined the company as its new Chief Financial Officer. Bailey will manage C-Cube's financial and administrative operations and serve as a corporate officer.
"I am extremely pleased with the addition of Howard to our senior management team," said Umesh Padval, C-Cube President and CEO. "Throughout his career, Howard has excelled in both leading internal finance organizations and maintaining strong relationships with the external financial community."

Bailey brings to C-Cube nearly 20 years of senior financial experience that includes CFO positions at Quantum Effect Devices, where he led the company's transition from design service to fabless semiconductor production, and Photon Dynamics, Inc., where he also served as interim CEO in helping drive the company's rapid rise to profitability. Bailey also led both companies through the IPO process. Bailey's experience in corporate finance also includes work for well-known companies such as Sierra Semiconductor (now PMC Sierra), Plus Logic (part of Xilinx) and Intel Corporation. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Utah.
