Bosco, Nortel has its network management system in place in many if not most of the long haul networks. Does this fact give Nortel leverage in getting additional metro business. Here is an excerpt from the press release which caused me to wonder about this issue.

Combined with a Nortel Networks' Preside network management system already in place, this will give Williams Communications an end-to-end voice and data services solution.
