Ford is placing their bets on Hydrogen. I just can't envision a hundred million small highly pressurized Hindenburgs running around at high speeds. How many accidents occur in the US each day? And is the average consumer going to do the fairly dangerous high pressure refueling, at home? Insurance rates through the roof!

My bet is that the initial answer will use a form of gasoline. The required multibillion dollar distribution system is already in place and the fuel is relatively safe compared to Hydrogen.

Regarding gold, does anyone REALLY believe that the paper system is anywhere near collapse? My personal belief is that the collapse of the paper system would likely lead to a worldwide war. I would rather buy brass and lead :o)
