Gerald Klauer of Gerold, Klauer and Mattison around 8:00 this AM listed his 3 picks as ADI, MOT, and (you guessed it) AMD...In reference to AMD, he commented that Mr. Sanders over at AMD has finally succeeded in bringing to market a product (i.e. the Athy) that can readily compete with Intel's offerings! It is interesting to note that ADI reported earnings today of $0.32 and trades around $70...HWP, although not included in his 3 picks, reported earnings yesterday of $0.87 and trades around $140...Once again AMD's recent earnings of $1.15 has so far resulted in a price of $88...Neither ADI nor HWP, looking forward, can come close to AMD's expected earnings ($5.00 - $10.00 for Y2000)for the foreseeable future...My conclusion remains that a major AMD upward revaluation is looming in the not too distant future! (May have to wait for negative market risk tied to 1/2 point increase to subside, though!)
