Venkie, I'm with you! I have never traded so much and gone nowhere as I have in the last few weeks.

I manage an offshore hedge fund, which is one of many in a larger holding company. One of the partners told me that ALL of the traders are shifting to short-term investing/trading. Even the mutual fund timers are getting a shorter term trading horizon. And our group manages well over a billion dollars. So even the "big money" is getting wise to what it takes to make money in this market---take your profits quickly and treat everything as a new trade.

So, IMO, this volatility and unpredictability is here to stay.
