William - the point I've been trying to make is that you guys kicked someone off your thread for what appears to be no greater offense than posting something you disagreed with, and for posting it in an obnoxious manner. I find the way you handled Kis's ouster to be a bit unsettling - in my view, the whole process lacked fairness.

From your actions yesterday, I'm left with the impression that if I post something you don't like - or if I post it in a manner you don't like, I'll be banned. Why should I wish to participate on a thread for which I have these feelings?

I encourage you to reinstate Kis and to adopt the suggestions for openness that I stated in my post to Gene. Establish clear guidelines - if Kis violates the guidelines, give him 2 warnings - and then if he continues to violate the guidelines, take a vote to ban him - and publish the results of the vote. This is fair and open. Your current policy is neither fair nor open. You have your motivations for this thread - but plolicies that exhibit greater fairness and openness will give your thread more credibility.

Thanks,
-Eric
