The Smithers won today's round fair and square, my dear. Read the fine print in the contest rules: If an entrant in the Piffer OT Naz Closing Contest foolishly chooses to qualify his/her entry, then final determination of the winning entry must take that qualification into consideration. If all conditions are not satisfied, the prize goes to the next closest entry. By way of example, if someone predicts a close of 3650, but qualifies that prediction by stating that the index will first visit 3800, and the latter condition is not satisfied, the entry is disqualified and the award goes to the next closest entry.
