You saw this at a computer show, huh? My roommate got one about four months ago at a price that was somewhat higher than the one you just quoted. Great system, though it's still too big to be considered truly portable. By the way, you forgot to mention that this system features an 810 chipset, the one with integrated graphics and no external AGP slot.

<Notebooks are akin to flushing money down the toilet, IMHO...>

I disagree, though I'd still like to see the price of good laptops drop below $1000.
