Mynd Partners With Jacada to Deliver Web-Based Insurance Applications
Jacada(R) Innovator to Play Key Role in Platform Portability
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 2000-- Jacada Ltd. (NASDAQ: JCDA - news), a leading provider of e-business infrastructure software, announced today that Policy Management Systems Corp. (NYSE: PMS - news), d/b/a Mynd, a leading provider of application software to the insurance and related financial services markets, has licensed Jacada© for Java and Jacada© Innovator to provide integrated, unified graphical Internet access to several of its core insurance application offerings.

Key to the agreement is Jacada's recently announced Jacada Innovator. Jacada Innovator will enable Mynd's application developers to easily deliver Internet applications and provide architecture to enable the portability of mainframe and AS/400 applications to NT servers.

``Jacada Innovator removes hardware and operating system dependencies from the presentation portion of the application by separating the user interface of the application from the business logic,'' said Levern Gerald, vice president of Mynd. ``In addition to giving us a robust, browser-enabled user interface, Jacada Innovator provides a messaging infrastructure that will enable us to migrate our industry leading applications to multiple computing platforms.''

``We selected Jacada based on its leadership position in the market and its proven ability to rapidly browser-enable AS/400 applications,'' said Mynd senior vice president Ray August. ``Mynd needed a vendor that automated the delivery of an open, cross-platform graphical user interface that enables the company to integrate best-of-breed components of our insurance application offerings to provide our customers unparalleled functionality and service.''

Mynd is a leading provider of enterprise and electronic commerce application software, professional services, and outsourcing designed to meet the needs of the global insurance and related financial services industries. With annual revenues in excess of one half billion dollars and more than 5,400 employees, Mynd has more than 1,000 customers in the United States and in more than 30 countries who use Mynd products and services to improve processing, communications, and information management.
