3 9's - you wild and crazy guy !!. Thanks for the list Fred. I put together a graphic :http://quote.yahoo.com/q?s=noc+nns+rtnA+lmt+gd+atk+lit+mdr+ptv+lor&d=t . I never heard of PTV - Pactiv Corp, and was surprised to see they were the Tenneco Packaging re-incarnate, with Hefty bags amongst other products. The stock is basically selling at book, and looks like its trying to get off its *ss. As for MDR, McDermott, why is it struggling. almost every energy company i see is either setting new highs or starting a nice uptrend. I remember that MDR has some problems, do you know what the story is.
The rest of the defense or defensive stocks, look very attractive. I'll admit, I have not been a fan of defense stocks. I inherited my mom's IRA many years ago. While she was alive, the only caveat she had about her investment was no defense stocks and no nuclear power. Cigs and booze were fine. ggg.
ATK, Alliant Techsystem has a very interesting chart and great ROE (48%)looks like the stock put in a nice double bottom in the low 50s, with the second leg higher than the first, and the stock is now challenging the last high near 70. worth watching. NOC and NNS are both impressive, as you pointed out.

Of the Stocks you mentioned, PTV intriqued me the most since it is 1. cheap, 2. non-defense (personal hang-up) and has a chart that looks very interesting. Other opinions appreciated. Larry
