This PC doesn't look cheap either. It has Mediamatics software decode, and plays back MPEG1, with only a little flickering................................

Beefy configuration at a good price

Product- Austin P5200 PC
Price-$3,199
Availability- Call 383-5623 to place
orders.

Getting a multimedia PC that comes with a
200MHz MMX Pentium Processor, 32MB EDO RAM
and 16-speed CD-Rom drive might exceed
your budget.
But at $3199, such a system does not
seem that unaffordable.
Through its Austin Certified Configuration
Centre located here, Austin has adopted
made-to-measure technologies offering the
latest from processor and memory chips to
monitors.
Thus, ordering an Austin PC is just a
matter of picking up the phone.

P5200 PC
The Austin P5200 PC is easy to use.
Installation of its Mediamatics MPEG
player software is also a breeze.
Slot in a video CD and playback should be
smooth with little flickering.
Installing the DSV3365 display accelerator
card takes some patience though.

This card helps churn out 64-bit
graphics at high resolutions. It also
doubles up the overall system performance,
making moving images or using graphics
applications speedy.
Make sure you load up the software
diskettes in DOS mode and make back-up
copies of them.

Looks like they will need to hire more people to man the service line phones.
