Hi Maurice, yes indeed I have been prodded to re-examine the critical statement: 'In support of its commitment to open standards, Ericsson has agreed to work with Vodafone to enable the introduction of other vendors' products into Vodafone's 3G network, which is expected to commence service in the first quarter of 2002' in greater detail. And it sounds to me like the camel's nose is sliding ever so subtly under the European tent. This Chris Gent fellow appears to have both oars in the water. I think he extracted what is in effect an "open future platform standard guarantee" from Ericy in exchange for a gazillion dollar contract now. Chris ain't about to foreclose his options when it comes time to toss HDR into the hopper--unlike the dodo birds @ T. Can you believe those guys?
HIGHLY OFF TOPIC THOUGH I HEAR RAMSEY IS OUT OF TOWN SO . .
And speaking of getting one's t*t in a wringer, what have you been doing over there on the Globalstar thread? Jeez, I've been out of the loop for a while and come back to find you in hot water all over hell and gone. The Journal's after you plus more flamers than I can shake a stick at. I have no idea what the topic is, but that's never stopped me from posting before. Point me in the right direction and I'm on the case. Besides, I like short squeezes when I'm long. Must tell you, though, that the Surfette had already decided to use the Globalstar share certificates in the guest bath--whether as TP or wallpaper I'm not sure but the indication wasn't bullish. Sherry anyone? SM
