"Please post three examples of a web site running Apache on NT. If you need help, go to netcraft.com."

Well, I guess you have got me there, I cannot find a [big] site which uses Apache on NT. I was going by the traffic on ciwsm and other newsgroups/listservs I interact with for my (anecdotal) data. Upon further retrospection, I suspect that the people I know of running A/NT are mostly doing it for development on their local machines before uploading to the big servers.

IMHO, this may change significantly in the next few months, as A/NT was not really a viable option for many Windows users until probably six months or so ago (IIRC), because of configuration issues. These have been greatly reduced recently. Since there are a lot of Apache webmasters out there and a lot of applications which run on MS software only, the synergistics point to more hybrid sites, IMHO.

However, the question I have remains, how would this hurt MS, if IIS is bundled with NT for no extra cost and not sold separately?

Cameron

BTW, thanks for telling me about Netcraft. It is an interesting site.
