Ok Chief.

Actually, I agree the broader market is NOT bearish, but then the broader market did not undergo the same movement that the techs did in '99. The broader market is also boring. I'll hold a chem company or a gas producer or banks out of sheer boredom, but they're just not as much fun as the toy companies that make neat gadgets or flash-storage to feed the gadgets.

But at the same time, these same techs are now heavily weighting the DOW and of course the nasdaq looks ugly (* Cloak on : remember those two obvious things that much of the sheep don't know and the wolves won't talk about *) with the big gainers of past years now trading at 1/4 and 1/5 or 1/20 th of their peaks (yet still overvalued).

(* If anything, I still feel the analysts releasing strong buys on stocks ahead of the flood of dilution from ipolockups and stock options vesting should be examined under a microscope. Neat SI cloaking tool. I'd be getting death threats from engineers with 10M stock options o/w *)
