My BS is in a Science and my MBA is in Taxation and Finance. However, I am a Semiconductor Engineer by trade. For the past 20 years I am one of the few people that can talk to the Finance guys and the Technical types. Sort of an interpreter for each in languages that they all can understand. It has been fun and has allowed me to be active in my two areas of comfort.

I truly understand cost of ownership and the bottom line to the corporate piggybank. To that end, I write a majority of the Manufacturing Capital Appropriations Requests with accompanying financial justifications based on ROI. I understand all costs and benefits of systems put in place and can converse with both sides of the organization.

The MBA was courtesy of an experimental public/private program that was offered by a University that was testing it for the Wharton School of Business. I know it was a good program but never found out if it was implemented by Wharton. Sort of an MBA "off Broadway".

BTW-Why would a company like ADPT will close to $400 million in Cash and cash equivalent assets go out and bring another $230 million into the company piggybank through debt other than to finance another acquisition??? Please check their most recent quarterly/annual report summary. Something sounds fishy and ADPT might need to be looked at a little closer as an investment.
