What does Ronald McDonald and Craig (Big Mac) McCaw have in common, besides the recipe for success? They're both pictured in the USA Today. Appropriately in the money section.

In an article entitled "ICO out of bankruptcy, to merge with Teledesic" a little light is shed on their initiatives.

"New ICO and Teledesic still plan to launch separate satellite networks into orbit this decade."

"The New ICO satellites will provide voice and internet data services at speeds up to 144 kilobits per second..."

"Teledesic's constellation of 288 satellites, due to be up and running by 2004, will provide data speeds of up to 64 megabits per second..."

"The two systems will complement each other, Teledesic's Roger Nyhus says. New ICO primarily will provide mobile services while Teledesic will offer high-speed wireless service to major corporate networks"
--------------------
It seems logical to assume Nextel will offer these satellite services throughout their domestic and international sales force. Another differentiation between themselves and the "me too" service providers. The fact that New ICO is a shareholder of Nextel increases the likelyhood of this becoming a reality, IMO.

Nextel rocks.
