Norilsk plans and projections - read between the lines.-

"...Kotlyar ... said Norilsk was expanding its prospecting of platinum group metals.

"'A number of new prospective deposits were identified. We [also] have two sites producing precious metals concentrate.... In future we plan to concentrate the production of all precious metal concentrates in Norilsk, where efficiency shall be improved through the introduction of new technologies,' he said.

"'The freed capacities in the Kola Peninsula will be reprofiled for processing of secondary precious metals including electronic scrap from disassembled nuclear submarines and used catalysts from petrochemical and chemical plants and in future spent autocatalysts also.'
