Dear Elizabeth and Andrew,

I suggest you have a look at the size of the River Valley intrusion on PFN's claims. 60 million tonnes is merely an area of 1500 by 350 by 40 metres (or numerous variations thereof) at a rock density of 2.9.

Andrew, South African PGM mines are extremely profitable with a grade of 5 grammes per tonne over a reef width of between 60 and 100 centimetres (25 to 38 inches) from between 0.7 and 1 kilometres below surface with deepening to 1.2 km in the planning stage. Compare that to an open pit grading 1.2 g/t. No shafts, no drives, no waste rock to move, no ventilation and very expensive refrigeration costs to cool the high humidity temperature down to 38 from a rock temperature of over 55 Centigrade, no installation of roof supports to prevent rock bursts, no time wasted by hoisting miners up and down and no transportation to the working face which accounts for about twelve per cent of their working day, etc.

I'd just like to add that not once in any of my posts was advise given to buy or sell a share. I am not an investment adviser merely the manager/analyst of a private mining investment fund with an average return on capital employed of forty per cent per annum. I posted the opinions and observations of colleagues, associates and myself which you are at liberty to accept or dismiss.

Furthermore, in contrast to short term traders, I am perfectly happy to hold a share for up to two years. I have also never shorted a share.

Best wishes,

Crudestope.
