I was looking for this NHL Playoff thread. I had it before the season ended, then forgot about it until 1 minute ago. Anyway, my .02:

Rangers in big trouble if Sundstrom misses a full series with Philly. he is as good a 2 way player, without any flash, as there is in the game. He doesn't give away the puck, he checks his man, etc. Tough to replace.

Devils are psyched out right now. If McLean is suspended, they probably lose on Sunday. Their scoring is zero. Can't believe the job Grtesky is doing on Gilmour. Everyone thought Gilmour would give Grets a tough time, me included. The tables sure have turned.

You'll know the Devils have given up on Sunday, if, as expected, the Rangers get an early lead, and sit on it until early into the 3rd period. When Lemaire sends out a line of Suitcase Simpson, Zezel, and Carpenter, or some other big, tough, non-scoring type, you know they have quit. Last night was a perfect example.

Those 4 TV timeouts, of 70 seconds each, per period, sure keep Mess and Grets fresh. Who needs a 4th line, Fox and TNT are supplying it for the Rangers.

If Rangers beat Devils, and face Philly. look for a different type of series, such as:

Philly will blow away the Rangers once, and only once. Something like 6-1 or 7-2.
Rangers will get more goals against the slower, not very skilled, Philly 'D'.

Good thread.
