re sell low buy high
The problem is options (that's the name of this thread, remember)...I sold puts on stocks I thought would never sink to the levels where I'd have to actually purchase them.
Qcom 155:put was sold when it was around there and I thought it was on its way again (up that is)...that was April's miserable buy.
May's...brcm, sold put for strike 210, will be buying it at that tomorrow (200 shares) because I never bought the sold put back.
Gmst: sold 5 for strike 70 that I thought was way low...but three were exercised early so I bought 300 at 70 when the price was/is in the 40's: the other two I bought back(at a loss however) when the stock went up to the mid fifties the day before yesterday.
ELON: don't have to buy it at 70 on Friday: when it spiked up on Monday I bought the puts back (at a profit, yahhhh).
I guess in the end it will all be ok: after all gmst and qcom are my core holdings and brcm is not a bad core (in spite of today's negative news). But right now it's pretty horrible.
