MB and Gang:
While I am not yet ready to back the dump truck up to the loading dock, let's just say that I am getting ever more aggressive about one of my favourite hate objects, namely RMBS (or "ram-butt) as it is affectionately known among my broker pals).
Aside from the litany of problems that I have detailed previously, it is now apparent that the ONLY consequential seller (or should I say prospective seller) of their questionable line, DELL, has quietly (a) cut prices on Rambus-based PCs about a month ago, and (b) just recently allowed that the company will not be stocking Rambus-based PCs. My oh my.
Irrespective of the nonsensical comments puked up by the Intel investor relations types or by the pimping analysts, this company is a total joke. The thing to be cautious of is that there is still a consequential short position, which makes it a target for marauding funds. That said, it has already been kind to us, and we expect it to continue to do so for quite some time yet. Our favourite approach is to whack it on any big rallies and then religiously buy back on the nasty days.
