Thanks Earlie. One thing I thought might perhaps offset problems on the corporate desktop front was INTC's increasing penetration of the server market -- a higher margin business, no? I know Merced/Itanium has been delayed forever, but it was my impression that this chip would be in production by 2001. AMD has obviously made big inroads of late, but I have to question whether they can keep it up given Intel's much larger cap ex/R&D resources, AMD's historically chronic yield/manufacturing problems, and INTC's excellent long-term record of being able to reliably turn out the merchandise, its recent yield problems notwithstanding. Any comments on these?
