Also, is Intel in competition with Sun DIRECTLY or INDIRECTLY, by supplying chips to CPQ, HWP, DELL, etc.
This always comes up, i.e., whether Intel should go into the box business themselves, and has been kicked around since the early days of this thread. One reason I wanted to get a closer look at the server racks at the meeting was to see what the servers did say on the outside (Dell, Compaq or whomever). Even though it was a bit of a distance, I don't think they said anything (except, I'm sure intel inside). But, no, no direct sales of servers, or PCs by Intel, still.
