HEADLINE: Tier-One PC Manufacturers Increase Search for Intel Processors
DATELINE: ALISO VIEJO, Calif., May 17, 2000
BODY:
An influx of activity from tier-one PC manufacturers for Intel processors at American IC Exchange indicates that the supply chain could be experiencing future industry shortages.

"We're seeing an up-tick in activity for Intel Processors from the OEMs," said Paul Meyers, commodity manager for American IC Exchange. "We are in a shortage market for most Pentium III devices, which could last several weeks."

Delivering real-time pricing data on DRAM, American IC Exchange launched RAMDEX(TM), an online service providing daily information on global availability, pricing and delivery of commodity semiconductor products, in 1996. Today, American IC Exchange combines the power of the Internet with knowledgeable traders to support companies' purchases of volume quantities of integrated circuits (ICs). As product supplies become more volatile, American IC Exchange works to ensure that inventories are maintained and losses are not incurred due to shortages in the supply chain.

American IC Exchange (www.aice.com) continues to provide buying and selling solutions for OEMs and is a global leader in the distribution of commodity semiconductors and computer products. AICE was the first company to offer an Internet service (RAMDEX) to help the OEM customer eliminate the guesswork from buying and selling on the global spot market.
