Syncman, The Avici terabit router was developed with the cooperation of Nortel who withdrew from participation in the project after they decided to go with the Versalar router Nortel developed in house. Since then, Enron has made an investment in Avici. Enron apparently has decided to deploy Avici's terabit router. Williams has also committed to purchase a minimum number of Avici routers.
