Everyone seemed to think that the NAS and SANs were very complementary- I think the confusion comes in that the NAS can be attached to the LAN for some applications - So the competition isn't really between NAS and SANs but between GE and FC- GE positioning themselves as alternative to the SANs and the fact that NAS can work off of GE is just another GE argument is using to compete with FC. NAS comes up a winner either way.
