Bad cable can be solved. If you are outside DSL's 3mile zone, your problem will never be solved. The ideas that DSL is problem free is a myth. As are the myths about cable being a shared network, while DSL is not.

DSL may eventually become more popular than cable, so your original statement may be correct. I just found it humorous in the context it was given.
