Hi Lost,

We adopted our daughter at the tender age of three months. She's my first child, which makes her all the more special. It's funny, at this point she's just "Carly" to me and I often neglect to tell people that she's Asian. I took her back to Korea a few years ago and we toured the country with 50 other adoptees and their American parents. Probably the most moving thing we did was to spend an afternoon at a maternity home, speaking (through translators) with pregnant women considering international adoption. They were very touched by the way we loved our children and there were many tears of relief.

We've since located her biological family and have written back and forth a few times. They've missed her terribly and are anxious to meet, though I think it'll be some time till she's ready.

Thank you everyone here for your expressions of comfort and support. They've helped me a lot.

I'll be travelling for a few days. My best wishes to all of you. Rally that Naz, will you? <g>
