Sonny ---China will be let into the WTO organization this year with or without the vote next week . My understanding of the vote is whether or not they obtained permanent most favored trade status with the USA . The human rights issues and the trade issues are a big concern but I do remember back in 1979 MR Carter embargo of Russia where we tried to embargo grain and impact the Russians . They just bought the grain from Canada and Argetinia and really hurt our farm belt area of the US . Personally I think the free trade issue encourages democracy ---it lets the other side see what the stanards of living are like and the freedom that comes with it . BEST WISHES BILL
