exactly, well almost. i'd change that to:

They think that "the finest medical system in the world" should be available to everybody, but SOMEBODY ELSE should have to pay for it."

part of that somebody else is the mds. i believe mds should be paid considerably more. they shouldn't have to deal with all the non-md "stuff," that's not being efficient or why they went to med-school. but they should also be more responsive to their patients and cut the god-like attitude out.

who should pay...we could debate the politics and morality of this for days. the smartest approach and the one the requires the least bargaining between special interest, is the one that the politicians can support, cutting the waste. which is why hlth is going to work.
