The Omniplayer is shipping with SanDisk or Infineon MMC.
This is both a read/write card, so I suspect Infineon may pay royalties to SanDisk for these cards.

I understand from previous discussions that the MMC co-development between SanDisk & Infineon gave licensing rights to Siemens for the pre-loaded ROM version known as the "ROS" card and licensing rights to SanDisk for blank MMC. I believe it is a logical conclusion that if Siemens/Infineon are making "MMC" in large volume we should have substantial royalty revenues coming in short order.

Is anyone aware of Infineon's fab capacity and whether they are currently stepping up production of their flash RAM version of MMC?

At this stage, industry support by Siemens/Infineon and Toshiba (and a possibility of an agreement in the future with Sony) places SanDisk as a premier semiconductor innovator and manufacturer in the post-PC era within one of the hottest segments of the semiconductor market for the next decade.

WHY IS THE COMPANY SO QUIET???

If further stock price collapse occurs in the near-term, as a shareholder I would expect either a buy-back announcement or, at the least, better corporate guidance with regard to 2000 anticipated EPS.

21½ + 22½ + 23½ + 24½ = 90½
