cbs.marketwatch.com Phone.com (PHCM: news, msgs) gave up 3 1/2 to 77. The company outlined the growth opportunities for Internet infrastructure software and services to support the mobile Internet market. If Japan is any guide, mobile usage should dramatically track higher, said Marc Cabi at CS First Boston. The penetration rate of mobile data users has expanded beyond 10 percent in Japan, and should be repeated around the world as commercial availability of WAP become a "reality soon," he said. Phone.com management said that 50 models are now shipping, and expects to see 200 by the end of the year, he said.
