CMA and DVN.. two interesting plays. CMA had broken out of a v-cup and handle today but pulled back. Resistance is 46 but at 47, CMA will have a triple top point & figure breakout. Chart is looking good. This is no SCMR but it will let you sleep at night. It is having its annual meeting for shareholders today, May 19, 2000.

DVN is a winner (do your own dd). It had a annual meeting for shareholders on May 18 It reached a new 52 week high on May 18, not a very good day for the rest of the market.Devon's revenues and net earnings for the quarter ended March 31, 2000, were the highest of any quarter in its history. Net earnings for the first quarter of 2000 were $61.1 million, or 68 cents per share. This compares to net earnings of $6.0 million, or 12 cents per share for the first quarter of 1999. The increase in first quarter earnings was due to sharply higher oil and natural gas production coupled with higher overall oil and natural gas prices. The increase in first quarter production resulted primarily from the August 17, 1999, merger of PennzEnergy Company into Devon.

DVN is currently a bit overbought but I'd wait for a pullback and look into this stock.
