WALLDORF, Germany--Software maker SAP is expected to announce an agreement that it will resell Commerce One's e-commerce software, according to a report citing people inside the two companies.

SAP and Commerce One could unveil their agreement next week at a SAP customer conference in Berlin, according to The Wall Street Journal. Such an agreement could help SAP make up for lost time, as its e-commerce software, MySAP.com, lagged products by rivals such as Commerce One and Ariba, the paper said.

A SAP spokesman declined to comment on the report but did say the company expects to make a series of announcements at next week's Berlin conference.
