All fair, I just wonder why it is that so many here who bash, also seem to not be able to get enough of the show...really, the biggest bashers here know more details about CNBC staffers, content, programming, etc than I would ever profess to know...your rant, with all due respect, sounded more like you've been glued to your set watching these folks day in/day out and whether we like it or not, Joe 6 pack is actually driving this market in some pretty potent ways these days...I'm guessing that a boatload of new etrade accounts are opened by folks who read the Enquirer, drive a Chevy, drink Anchor Steam (maybe not), have seen Elvis AND the crying Madonna AND listen to CNBC along with a host of others who magically represent a crosshatch of Americana...p.s. anything wrong with being a Joe 6 pack?
Personally, I care little and know less about what I don't respect or like...I absolutely abhor the likes of People Magazine, but somehow find myself reaching for it each time the wife puts her copy down...Judge Judy is pure silliness, but she gets my vote...go figure...again, if you're watching CNBC, Joe 6 pack is watching, the analysts are watching, my barber is watching, chances are the world is watching and at this stage, CNBC appears to have the lock on giving the world EXACTLY what it is they want to see.
As an aside, appreciate your civil tone, a welcome change, and if folks want me to go away, I can always do so. |
