Aus, the Market could be pricing the expense associated with the new FlashVision production plant into the stock price.

Earnings will probably take a hit as $700 Million total, $350 Million on the part of Sandisk (assuming a 50/50 spilt with Toshiba) must be diverted into the project.

A major plus for the US-based plant however is that it will not be subject to Taiwan or other frequent Asian Earthquakes. If another big one does hit Taiwan, shutting down production for any amount of time, imagine that Flashvision could be the largest Flash maker operating in the world.

I assume that the geology underneath the US-based plant has been thoroughly researched.
