Personally I'd take inflation over a recession any day. I guess Greenspan being a 72 year old geezer makes him like recessions better. After all its all the old geezers with their money parked in the bond market that have the most to lose with inflation. The greedy old geezers make even more money with a recession. The Fed is here to protect the old guy, not the people working--rather people that used to be working.
