Only acquaintance I've had with David Tice as a talking head is that he was and has continually been trotted out by all the newsservices as a "wierdo" because he was about the only bear any of them could find to interview during the entire bullmarket run. Interesting eh?

I simply eschew the mutual fund modality as the preferred method for the hands-on investor. I'm aware many people prefer them. So, in a word...NO, I'm not aware of his "track-record" as a bull caller.

But look at it this way...if he's been bearish on the stockmarket in general, and no one alive would deny Q* has had a haircut in here, then for a bear to publically recommend purchase of a severely beaten down stock, which, by his own admission was due to the market MISINTERPRETING two recent news stories...the one on 3G royalty stream, and China/Unicom snafu.
