I laughed when I saw your post. I think that the fact we ARE moms is why we tend NOT to buy into the Romanticizing of Elizabeth. It doesn't mean we don't feel the horror of what happened, only that we aren't prone to view it as some kind of selfless, sacrificial act. Oh, how vividly I remember Chuck E. Cheese! Though it's been many years, such was the experience that it remains etched indelibly on my senses. Is there still a big white, blue-eyed bear in Hawaiian beach trunks? I always thought he was cute. This weekend we have 30 teenagers over for a cast party-- swimming and cookout and live band. I am terrified it's going to rain. It's no different from four year olds, only they are much larger, clumsier, and they eat amazing amounts of junk food.
