I'm (pretty) sure you know me well enough by now to know I wasn't condoning that shooting. If it played out as described, I hope they put that rancher away. Spiders live a long and happy life in my home, so I would hardly do violence to a person.

I've been following this story for a while. My Dad lives in Tucson so I keep up with the news from that area. This is a difficult issue. One of the many perspectives is that of some Joe who bought a piece of riverfront property, built a deck out back, and planned to spend his retirement with his feet up watching the birdies. My point was that you don't have to be a socialist or a bigot to not want people cutting across your property and scaring the horses or trampling the tulips.
