Rock Resources has now received copper, gold and molybdenum assay results
from holes 00-14, 00-15 and 00-16, which explored the Cerro Carmen/Cerro
Macote targets at Rock's Coiron property in north central Chile.
The Cerro Carmen and Cerro Macote areas were mined in the past by
underground workings for gold. Examination of the workings, mine dumps and
outcrops at Cerro Carmen/Cerro Macote by Rock's field staff indicated that
the gold bearing veins are situated in areas of disseminated copper
mineralization.
Holes 00-13 (see Stockwatch May 5, 2000), 00-14, 00-15 and 00-16 explored
the areas around the old workings at Cerro Carmen/Cerro Macote. The holes
show that a porphyry copper hydrothermal system is present at Cerro
Carmen/Cerro Macote. The ultimate size of the system is not known as the
limits of the system have not been defined by the current drilling program.
The copper assays in holes 00-14, 00-15 and 00-16 contain significantly
more copper than the first six holes drilled on the secondary target.
On Thursday, May 18, 2000, Rock's geological team advised that drilling of
the sixth hole on the primary target, Mt. Tacho, is nearing completion.
