What scares me is that everyone and their mother would be able to start investing in the markets, and I am sure you can see that 95% or more of the people on Ragingbull should not...never, ever, invest for themselves...
Just scan any OTC thread...It amazes me that some of these people were even able to open up an account....

As for the market scaring me...

It is sad but true, that most people lose money in the stock market.
You put all that money in everyones control...
Give it a year, and 5% of the people will own it, and the other 95% will be crying foul....

If you took all the wealth in America and divided it equally among all the citizens, within one year, the same people who had all the wealth before, would have it again...
(I'd like to test the theory myself, I asked Canadian parlament for a grant, but they said no. They did, however give 200,000 to an "Artist" who put the twelve stations of the Cross in the stomachs of dead rabbits, and as they dried out, the stomach opened to reveal the "art")
