If you wish me to get wordy here. There are statistics out there on returns of options the returns are quite good when you sell options.

Buying a option is a very high risk play and i feel people are better off investing in a stock that you do at some point of time have hope of receiving a return on. An option has expiration to deal with and one hell of an astute call on the buyers part.
I am negative on the market at present but if all of world for some unknown reason turned negative on self this market could turn positive on Monday and whosh goes your put option.
Most people aren't watching the market on a minute base and they can come home to nothing.
You buy a good company and you have hope of positive return at some point regardless of market conditions.

And therefore.....?
You deal with risk and maybe just maybe AH cares about small people who can not afford that risk. The market is composed of the public and public has many faces.

I knew a person who sons was diagnosed with a brain tumor and due to business conditions they thought they were going to loose their house. They took a gamble hoping beyond hope that an option would buy food that month.
Not everyone in the world is honest, that you have to remember and there is no greater risk than an option in my mind. This isn't a private club. There are many faces of the public here and many faces that should not be in the market period.
